But constant wear exposes it to a wide variety of elements
that can dim its lustre over time. To brighten white gold
jewellery that has grown dull, soak it in a solution of warm
water and detergent-free soap, and scrub gently with a soft-bristled
brush.
Care for white gold
When you aren't wearing your jewellery, store each individual
piece in soft cloth pouches to protect them from brushing
up against other jewellery. The rhodium plating starts to
wear off after a year or more. When the metal starts to look
dull, you can have your piece re-plated.
